What is the best piece of business advice you ever received, who was it from and how did it impact your business?

The best business advice I received from my peers was to hire a coach! This dramatically helped me grow my business and head down the perfect path for me. Hiring a coach is something I highly recommend doing from the very start to effectively turn your dreams and ideas into an action plan. This has dramatically impacted me and my business.

Who was the biggest influence or help in kicking off your business? What did they do to help?

My father was the biggest influence for me getting into business. He built several companies that allowed him to travel to over 40 countries and become the top 10 sales guru’s in the world. His experience helped me out in countless ways from recommending leadership and networking groups, to business strategies. I am very grateful for having him in my life.

What do you think about the concept of work/life balance as an entrepreneur?

I believe that all entrepreneurs should seriously look at their work/life balance. If you solely focus on work, you will struggle in life. If you are struggling in life, that will alter everything you do for business. They go hand in hand and need to be addressed with equal value. I say work hard and play harder!

How did you get your first client?

My first client came from word of mouth. Through networking events and sharing what is was I was doing, while being authentic about it, someone insisted on passing my name to a friend of theirs. It was as easy as that. I’ve always focused on being the best I can be with all the companies I’ve stated so that word of mouth remains to be the main channel of exposure.

What was the first thing you outsourced or hired for and are there any lessons you can share from that?

The first thing I outsourced was hiring a team to build a website. I wanted professionals to take my ideas and turn them into a reality online. Just to be clear, I said professionals. Anyone today can build a website, but if you want it done to a level of professionalism to properly showcase your business, you need to outsource it. Be the expert in what you want to do, and connect with other experts to do their thing and to help you grow your business effectively!
