What’s the elevator pitch for your company and why did you get into this business?

Navigating the mortgage market on your own can be daunting. In a challenging financial market, allow me to do the heaving lifting for you to find the best, most suitable mortgage for your unique situation.

What are the networking tips you would share with new entrepreneurs who are starting out in Ottawa?

My advice would be to select a couple of networking groups and really spend the time to get to know people in your groups. It takes time to establish relationships – stick with it!

Are there any productivity hacks you’ve experimented with? How did they work for you?

My business partner and I have migrated our business process to an online platform. This allows us to work as a team without needing to be in the same physical space. It has also streamlined our process to be more productive as we are able to see the status of all of our files in one location.

How do you get the majority of your leads or clients now? Any tips you can share?

The majority of my business comes by word of mouth. It is important for everyone that you know, to know what you do! Don’t be shy about promoting yourself within your personal network.

Which book, website, magazine, podcast, or other piece of media has the most influence on your business? What did you learn from it?

Honestly speaking, the most valuable book I have read in a long time has been “5 AM Club by Robin Sharma”. Although it has nothing to do with mortgages, it has everything to do with productivity and really digging deep in to what you are made of!
